Wheat allergy is another kind of food allergy that most infants experience. Your child is allergic to wheat if he or she has the following signs and symptoms after ingesting wheat-based products.

There are four kinds of proteins that are present in wheat. These are albumin, globulin, gluten and gliadin. If you’re able to determine which of these specific proteins you are most allergic to, you can let your doctor know. He or she will then be the one to prescribe the right medication that you need to counteract the allergic effects of each protein.

Also, you should be able to let the people around you know that you are allergic to wheat so that they would know how to handle your food properly. By doing this, you would help yourself avoid any dangerous circumstances which might threaten your life.

Wheat allergy can also lead to what you call Baker’s asthma. Baker’s asthma stems from an allergic reaction to wheat flour. If a person who happens to have wheat allergy inhales wheat-based flour, he or she might end up exhibiting symptoms of asthma.
