Training

In order to get her body in the perfect shape, Sommer Ray undergoes almost 12-13 sets of exercise. Her weekly plan is that she goes to the gym at least 5 days a week for a duration of a minimum of 90 minutes per day. Out of these 5 days, she spends two days training only her lower body.

Here is a list of lower body exercises followed by Sommer Ray during her routine workout:

  • Hack squats: 4 sets with 12 reps each.
  • Leg press: 4 sets with 12 reps each.
  • Standing cable glute extensions: 4 sets with 12 reps each.
  • Jump squats: 4 sets with 12 reps each.
  • Jump ropes: 4 sets with 12 reps each.

Her workout for glutes includes high cardio and squats and she also loves doing skipping ropes.

Nutrition

Sommer Ray has stated that in order to achieve that perfect body and look, one must be aware of what one are eating. Sommer had already started following a strict diet from her teenage and is very conscious about the quality of food that she consumes. She prefers consuming lean protein for a slim and perfect body and also prefers a controlled intake of carbs.

Sommer further says that she does not follow the same kind of diet plan but often makes changes to it according to her body requirements. Also, she does not take any kinds of artificial supplements since she already has a very high metabolism though she does make use of some natural supplements that do not possess any kinds of side effects.

What can we learn from Sommer?

Sommer Ray initially found it very difficult to pursue her dreams since she was constantly slut shamed in school. This took place to such an extent that she had to drop out and take up homeschooling. She participated in her first-ever bodybuilding competition at the age of 16 but later left since she did not want to use steroids like the other girls.

Yet she continues to work for her dreams finally becoming the great role model that she is today in the field of fitness and continues to inspire millions. She always says that loving yourself is the most important thing and that even if society judges you, you need to have confidence in yourself and pursue your dreams.
