The Right Way To Do Manicure

Manicure generally comprises filing the nails, shaping them, treating the cuticles, nail polishing, and treating the hands with moisturizers. French manicures slightly differ in style. However, treating the hands and nails is basically the same for any style. Nail art is an added feature of manicures. This involves drawing on the nail or painting pictures on the finished nails.   The ways to get the right manicure are discussed here.

First, remove your old nail polish using a non-acetone nail polish remover. However, if the polish has strongly stuck or is a glitter nail polish, you may have to use acetone-based nail polish remover. Instant polish remover also can be used to remove nail polish. This can be done by sticking your finger into the jar and twisting it. You can prefer the way of your choice for removing the polish.

With help of nail clippers, remove the excess length of the nails. After this, the nails use a nail file, giving them a shape. You can shape the nails to your liking. The squoval shape nails are short and square with smooth edges. You can also give a squared-off shape to your nails.

The next is to soak your hands, which is optional. However, it is better to include this step for a full-fledged manicure. Keep your hands in warm water for 5 minutes. To see some bubbles and smell an aroma, you can add a small amount of scented liquid soap to the water. This step softens your cuticles and they are now ready to undergo the next treatment.

Pushing back your cuticles also is an optional step. However, you cannot bypass this step if you have strong and thick cuticles. Cuticle is nothing but a small piece of dead skin that has developed at the bottom of your nail bed. This can interfere with your nail polishing. Therefore, pushing them back is necessary. It will also boost the look of the nail surface. You can use a cuticle stick for this procedure. Cutting the cuticles as done in salons, is not advisable. This may lead to infection too.

You should then remove the dead skin using a hand scrub or body scrub. You can also use a mixture of olive and sugar for this procedure. Scrubbing removes the dead skin on your hands and softens the active skin. Your skin also gets a lustrous look.

Then moisturize your skin using a hand lotion or cream of your choice. However, you should remove the excess lotion from your nails; otherwise, nail polish will not stick to these oily nails. So, wipe off the lotion from your nails with tissue paper, or use nail polish remover for a better effect.

To get flawless nails, apply a ridge-filling base coat to make the surface of the nails even. After this step, apply two coats of nail polish of your choice. Allow the first coat to dry and then apply the second one. You can follow the above-listed steps which are the ways to get the right manicure.
