Hairspray Glitter

If you want to add some glittering highlights to your hair, you have two options, the spray or the streak-in.  If you use the spray it is much like any other hairspray, when you have to set the hairstyle and apply the glitter hairspray.  This will create an overall glittering effect.

The streak-in glitter enables you to achieve a style where you can have the glitter effect exactly on the sections of the hair you want.  It also helps highlight and changes the coloring of light hair.

How to prepare hairspray glitter at home

• Take a spray bottle that has a good outlet and fill it with water, until it is three-fourths full
• Add the glitter and colors that you want to highlight your hair with
• Add a little hairspray into this water and glitter mixture
• Add some hair mousse so that it helps maintain the hairstyle
• After adding the mousse shake the container vigorously until all of it dissolves

How to use the hairspray glitter

• Regularly wash your hair with a good company shampoo and condition it well.
• Rub hair gently with a soft towel to remove dripping wetness
• Style your hair as required – you may want to blow dry it, straighten it,  whatever the style, comb hair gently and keep it free of tangles and knots
• After you have set the hair to apply the spray little by little on different sections of the hair until you have all the hair covered
• Remember to cover your eyes while applying spray
• Spray from the top of your head

Remember

• Hold the spray at least 15 centimeters away from the scalp while applying
• Hairspray glitter can be home-made or can be purchased
• Glitter of the present day is made up of relatively harmless ingredients – yet it makes sense to be careful to keep it away from eyes; be extra careful if you are using contact lens

Once the party is over and it is time clean your hair of the glitter, you have to adopt the most effective way to remove it.  This is how you do it

• Wet your hair under the shower
• Use anti-dandruff shampoo in areas where the glitter has been sprayed in
• Gently rub in the shampoo to massage your hair for about three minutes
• Wash off the shampoo with cold water
• After washing hair, apply a leave-in conditioner to the tips of your hair in fluid downward movements to remove the glitter that still might be present there
• In other regions where the glitter still persists, even after shampooing, apply some skin cream
• Wash your hair again with cold water; you will see that the glitter has been removed completely
