Ayurveda For Hypothyroidism

Ayurveda For Hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism or under-active thyroid means the failure of the thyroid gland to produce thyroxin as much as the body requires.  Thyroxin is the hormone that regulates the human body’s essential functionalities such as heartbeat, digestion, physical growth, and mental development. If thyroxin flow is arrested or if it is insufficient, it could result in life-sustaining processes. The damage of organs or the body parts and the tissues in every particle of the body would lead to life-threatening complications. Hence Ayurveda terms Hypothyroidism as a condition characterized by abnormally low levels of thyroid hormone production.
